When Stephanie & Justin told us they wanted to do their engagement session in Fenway Park, let’s just say Kelly and I couldn’t have been more excited! Not only do we love unusual locations, but we’re both Red Sox fans
Fenway is actually the oldest MLB stadium currently in use, followed by Chicago’s Wrigley Field.
We started by walking around Yawkey Way to get a few shots outside the park before heading inside.
Once inside, we headed straight to the Green Monster!
Although it was one of those crazy Connecticut heat wave days, it just didn’t seem so bad because we were INSIDE OF FENWAY PARK TAKING PHOTOS!!! I think some of my favorites were when they got to sit on top of the dugout!
It was actually sort of cool being at the park without anyone in the stands. Not that I wouldn’t love to see a game this year…
And of course we had to use the seat numbers to signify their wedding date. So many ways to get creative with numbers, but when I saw this idea online, I thought it was cute!
Before we headed out of the park, we grabbed a few last shots at Pesky’s Pole & the lone red seat. A few years ago I was on a tour of the park and learned about Pesky’s Pole, named after Johnny Pesky in 2006, whose distance from home plate is commonly disputed. If you haven’t seen the red seat, which is tough to see during actual games, it is located in the right field bleachers. Heard of Ted Williams? He hit the longest home run in Fenway history, with the ball landing on a fan sitting in this seat.
We followed up by walking around outside once more, and grabbed some ticket booth shots that we had been hoping to get!
Stephanie & Justin, thank you for bringing us along on this AWESOME experience! We had so much fun and hope you love your photos. Can I just mention that we CANNOT wait for your wedding?!
Love,
Kathy & Kelly
